Our club was founded in 1954 by a group of dedicated Basset Hound enthusiasts.

Fort Dearborn Basset Hound club is open to all Basset Hound owners and lovers.

Come and join us at one of our meetings or one of our many events.  We offer something for everyone.

We held our first specialty show in 1957. In 1978 our club added an obedience trial (yes! Bassets can do obedience) and in 2006 we added a Rally Trial.

Also you can meet our hounds at our booth at the Pet Expo in Arlington Heights every year.

Fort Dearborn club members think it is important to educate people about our special breed.
